Sohail Abro, Chairman of the Jeay Sindh Freedom Movement (JSFM), has strongly condemned the unprovoked firing by Pakistani forces on the peaceful Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) Jirga in Khyber Pashtoon
Kuwa today. The brutal attack claimed the lives of three PTM workers and left several others injured.
Sohail Abro termed this act as a continuation of the Pakistani state’s systematic oppression and genocide against the marginalized Pashtun, Baloch and Sindhi nations, who have long been victims of Punjabi imperialism. He emphasized that the Pakistani state’s use of violence against peaceful political movements is an attempt to silence the voices demanding justice, autonomy, and basic human rights for oppressed nations within the country.
He warned that such attacks are part of a larger campaign of ethnic repression and militarization, which targets not only the Pashtuns but also other persecuted Nations such as the Baloch and Sindhis.
He called upon international human rights organizations, including the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), Amnesty International, and the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP), to urgently take notice of this heinous act and hold Pakistan accountable for its grave human rights violations. He stressed that the international community cannot continue to ignore the ongoing atrocities and systematic oppression being carried out by the Pakistani state.
“The Jeay Sindh Freedom Movement stands in full solidarity with the Pashtun nation and the PTM in their fight for justice and dignity. The unity of oppressed nations is our greatest strength, and together, we will one day overcome the tyranny of the Pakistani state through our collective and determined struggle for freedom and self-determination,”
Sohail Abro declared. He further reiterated JSFM’s commitment to fighting for the rights of all oppressed nations in Pakistan and vowed to continue the struggle for freedom from state-sponsored violence and oppression.
