Saeen G.M. Syed once said: “Abandon personal love and fall in love with your motherland, for in that love, there is no betrayal.” He distinguished between “illusory love,” which is love for an individual, and “true love,” which is love for one’s homeland.

Today is Valentine’s Day, a day celebrated as a global symbol of love, where lovers exchange gifts and flowers. But for us, our beloved is our land—Sindh. So, on this day of love, we reaffirm our deep and unwavering commitment to our homeland. While the world celebrates love for individuals, we proudly declare our love for Sindh.

Let us commemorate this day as a celebration of our love for our nation, our people, our martyred comrades, and our cause. On this occasion, let us pledge to protect Sindh, to walk the path of its freedom, and to prove our loyalty through action and sacrifice.
