No More Water Theft
In response to the call by the World Sindhi Congress, a powerful protest was held in front of the Pakistan High Commission in London against the construction of six new canals on the Indus River. Protesters raised bold slogans denouncing this injustice and stood firmly in defense of Sindh’s water rights.
During the protest, Sohail Abro, Chairman of the Jeay Sindh Freedom Movement (JSFM), delivered an impassioned speech, vehemently opposing the attack on the Indus River. He stated:
“The survival of Sindh depends on the Indus River, which has been our lifeline and identity for thousands of years. Now, new plans are being devised to once again steal our river. Anyone who believes they can deprive the people of Sindh of their water is making a grave mistake. We will never accept this injustice and will fight for Sindh’s water rights on every platform!”

Abro further emphasized that the Jeay Sindh Freedom Movement (JSFM) will continue to raise its voice against the illegal exploitation of Sindh’s water resources. He vowed to bring the issue to the attention of international organizations, highlighting the injustices being inflicted upon the Indus River. “The Indus belongs to Sindh, and we will never allow anyone to seize control of it,” he declared.

Sindh will never tolerate any assault on its water resources—the call for Indus rights will resonate everywhere!
