On 10 December 2024, marking International Human Rights Day, the Jeay Sindh
Freedom Movement organized a protest outside the UK Prime Minister’s residence
at 10 Downing Street, London.

The demonstration, titled “Protest Against
Pakistan’s Occupation and Human Rights Violations in Sindh, Baluchistan, Khyber
Pakhtunkhwa, Seraikistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir,drew participants from various organizations.

These included the Jeay Sindh Freedom Movement, Baloch
National Movement, Pashtun Tahafuz Movement, United Kashmir People’s
National Party, Hindu Forum Europe and general representatives of Baloch,
Pashtun, Sindhi, Kashmiri communities, and human rights activists.

The main banner at the protest highlighted opposition to Pakistan’s occupation of
oppressed nations and regions. Additionally, it displayed images of Baloch, Sindhi,
and Pashtun martyrs and those missing due to enforced disappearances by the
Pakistani state. Protesters passionately chanted slogans to voice their demands.

For the first time in the 52-year history of Jeay Sindh’s Freedom struggle of Sindhu
Desh, a nationalist political party from Sindh reached London to record their voice on an international platform.

The event proceedings were led by the Jeay Sindh Freedom Movement’s central Chairman, Sohail Abro. On this occasion, speakers passionately expressed their thoughts on the atrocities and oppression perpetrated by the Pakistani state.

Kashif, a leader of the United Kashmir People’s National Party UK, condemned the recent presidential ordinance imposed by the puppet Kashmiri government under the direction of the Pakistani state. He emphasized that the oppression faced by Kashmiris at the hands of Pakistan is intolerable and declared that their struggle would continue until Kashmir achieves freedom.

Qambar Baloch, leader of the Baloch Human Rights Council, highlighted the
situation of human rights violations. He stated that thousands of Baloch people
have been forcibly disappeared by the Pakistani state, and state operations continue in Baluchistan, extending to both Sindh and Baluchistan. Qambar Baloch further emphasized that the unity of oppressed nations is critically important in today’s to collectively raise their voices for their rights.

Muhammad Ibrahim Ghafuri, a leader of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM)
UK, in his speech, shed light on the massacres of Pashtuns on both sides of the
Durand Line. He emphasized that the oppressed share a common enemy, and their
struggle against it must be unified.

Human rights leader Rahul Jesrani, in his speech, stated that religious extremism is at its peak in Pakistan, particularly in Sindh. He accused the state of supporting religious extremists. He mentioned that a cleric named Mian Mitho is forcibly converting Sindhi Hindu girls. Under state patronage, attacks are being carried out on Hindu religious sites, creating an atmosphere of fear in society. He urged human
rights organizations to take notice of this situation.
Former President of the Hindu Forum Europe, Bharati Taylor, expressed concern over human rights violations in South Asia. She stated that they stand in solidarity with oppressed and subjugated nations.

PTM’s women leader, Sherbano, condemned the brutal spilling of Pashtun blood in
Wana, Waziristan, and Afghanistan. She demanded that the Pakistani state be held
accountable for these atrocities.
PTM UK leader Salim Zaib recounted the tales of oppression faced by Pashtuns.
He highlighted the wrongful imprisonment of Ali Wazir on baseless charges and
demanded the release of all political prisoners and missing persons.

Sohail Abro, the president of Jeay Sindh Freedom Movement and host of the protest, spoke about the dire situation in Sindh, where political activists are being martyred or forcibly disappeared. He stated that similar oppression continues in Baluchistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Saraikistan, and Gilgit-Baltistan. He appealed to the UK Prime Minister to take notice of the violence and oppression
inflicted by Pakistan on occupied nations.
At the conclusion of the event, a memorandum was submitted by the Jeay Sindh Freedom Movement to the UK Prime Minister’s residence at 10 Downing Street.
