Press Release, February 9, 2025
The Jeay Sindh Freedom Movement (JSFM) organized a protest rally in Jamshoro, demanding the immediate release of national activists Talib Leghari and Ashiq Magsi, who were forcibly disappeared by state agencies from Shahdadkot on January 26. The rally also condemned the brutal torture inflicted on national activists Waqar Khushk, Mumtaz Soomro, Dilbar Dero, Badshah Balo, Adnan Balo, Wazir Khushk, Sabir Karal, and Nabil Gabol in Karachi Jail, and the continued abuse they are facing after being transferred to Sukkur and Hyderabad Jails.

Addressing the protest, JSFM leaders denounced the state institutions for their ongoing oppression and demanded an immediate end to the inhumane practice of enforced disappearances and mistreatment of national activists. They appealed to international human rights organizations and the global community to take urgent notice of these grave violations and intervene to secure the release of all forcibly disappeared and falsely imprisoned activists.

The leaders reaffirmed that the Jeay Sindh Freedom Movement will persist in its struggle for Sindh’s national rights and freedom. They issued a stern warning to the state: if the forcibly disappeared activists are not released and justice is not served for those imprisoned under false charges, the movement will escalate and expand its protests across the entire region of Sindh.

At the rally, activists and leaders pledged their unwavering commitment to the cause of Sindh’s independence and national rights. They vowed to resist all forms of state oppression and continue their struggle until justice is achieved.
Reiterating its dedication to Sindh’s independent status, the Jeay Sindh Freedom Movement remains steadfast in its mission to secure the release of national activists and uphold the rights and freedom of the Sindhi people.
