Sohail Abro, Chairman of Jeay Sindh Freedom Movement, Zubair Sindhi, Amar Azadi other officials have said in their joint statement that today, on August 30, the United Nations is celebrating the International Day for Enforced Disappearance all over the world. In other words, the people who have been taken against their will by the state institutions and forced to leave their solidarity with them and for their freedom.

Today all over the countries, classes, nations, organizations and individuals of the whole world showing solidarity with missing persons.

The victims of enforced disappearances in Sindh are often freedom-loving political activists who are taken to prisons by the state agencies from home or on the road. In camps they face various tortures. Their list includes brutal acts such as hanging, pouring water into the nose, biting the nails, throwing dust in food.

The state institutions missed and killed the freedom-loving Sindhi activists, sometimes mentally and sometimes physically paralyzing them. Sometimes their dead bodies are sent as gifts. Such as Muzaffar Bhutto, Maqsood Qureshi, Salman Wadho, Sami Ullah Kalhoro, Sajjad Markand, Aamir Khuhawar, Allah Dino Rahmoon, Nawab Rahmoon, Niaz Lashari, Anees Soomro, Raja Dahar Bhanbharo, Shakeel Khoonharo., Paryal Shah, Roshan Brohi, Asif Panhwar, Sarwaich Pirzado, Wajid Langah, Faheem Bhutto and others were martyred, and their bodies were given to the national movement.

According to an estimate, from 2002 to 2024, more than five thousand Sindhi freedom fighter workers have been missing, which is a complete violation of human rights.

Recently, among the missing national activists on August 14, national activists Javed Mangrio, Zahid Channa, Sanwal Sindhi, and Afaq Abbasi were injured by the Hyderabad police late at night and sent to Civil Hospital Hyderabad.

On August 19, 2024, the central leader of the Jeay Sindh Freedom Movement, Goro Sindhi (Jamil Shoro), was on his way home to meet the injured national workers. On the way, the Pakistani state brokers attacked him and fired 3 bullets, which seriously injured him. He was shifted to Hyderabad Hospital and the doctors there referred him to Karachi Trauma Center, where he died in the ICU without suffering any injuries.

While Ayub Kandhro, Murtaza Junejo, Insaf Dayo, Sarwaich Noohani, Pathan Khan Zahrani, Zafar Chandio, Aijaz Gaho, Kashif Tagar, Sohail Raza Bhatti, Mohan Menghwar, Shabbir Qambrani, Dr. Fateh Muhammad, Ailah Warayo Mahar, Ubaid Malik, Javed Sanghar, Sajan Malookani, Yousiff Shar, Sajad Channa and Sanwal Solangi and others total 64 national activists are missing.

The state oppression continues other oppressed nations of Pakistantoo. 22 thousand national workers of Balochistan have been forcibly disappeared. 4 thousand Pashtuns are also missing. While Saraiki, Gilgiti and Kashmiri national activists were also missing in large numbers by the state institutions.

Recently in Balochistan, 9 dead bodies of national activists killed and tortured by Pakistani state agencies have been dumped in different cities of Balochistan.

On the International Day of Disappearance, Jeay Sindh Freedom Movement appeals to the international conscience including the United Nations, Amnesty International, to recover Sindhi, Baloch, Pashtoon, Saraiki, Gilgiti and Kashmiri workers from Pakistani institutions.
